Kerala Water Authority was established on 1st April 1984 under the Kerala water and waste water ordinance, 1984 by converting the erstwhile Public Health Engineering Department to provide for the development and regulation of water supply and waste water collection and disposal in the State of Kerala and for matters connected there with. The Kerala Water Supply and Sewerage Act 1986 (Act 14 of 1986) replaced the ordinance. The Authority was established by vesting the properties and assets of the erstwhile Public Health Engineering Department under section 16 of the Act, and the assets, rights and liabilities of the local bodies and Kerala State Rural Development Board in so far as they pertain to the execution of water supply and sewerage schemes under 18 of the Act..Kerala Water Authority is an autonomous authority established for the development and regulation of water supply and waste water collection and disposal in the state of Kerala, India. It is a government-owned organization and hence a monopoly in most parts of the state. The authority was founded on 1 April 1984.Applications are invited for the post of Finance Manager & Chief Accounts Officer at Thiruvananthapuram on Contract basis for a period of one year extendable up to further two years.

Qualification
The candidate must be a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or Member of the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India. Experience: The candidate must have a minimum of 5 years experience as Chartered Accountant/Cost Accountant in a registered firm or a Public Sector Undertaking. Preference will be given to candidates having practical experience in working with Government Departments / Autonomous Bodies/ Public Sector undertakings or similar under taking involving consolidation of Accounts of field offices and preparation of Consolidated Annual Report, Budget/ Budgetary Control/ Maintenance of GPF/ NPS Accounts, Contractors' Accounts, Accounting and monitoring Central State Government grants.
